Apex Mechanical is a productivity application for the company, Apex Mechanical, based in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Apex Mechanical app is an ios based application for iPads that allows workers to communicate tasks and other notes to management in an efficient, organized manner. I started developing the app by myself in May of 2022. I had to learn Swift, familiarize myself with XCode (instead of VSCode), learn the workings of apple CloudKit, etc. The learning curve was steep; I only had Java, Python, and C++ experience prior to this and my only UI experience was with html such as this website. I worked 2 jobs that summer; 1 was developing this app and the other was a manual laborer working 32+ hours a week. Time management, discipline, and work ethic were essential that summer.
